  1. This a Macintosh Season9 type program.
  2.  
  3. It uses the same Adapter as all the other Season7 type programmes
  4. but because its a Macintosh you must connect :-
  5.  
  6. HSi(Handshake in ) to RESET OUT(CTS or DCD) of the adapter.
  7. I have noticed that on a Pbook 540C you need to connect RXD+ to GND
  8. ie Pin 8 to Pin 4 of the Mini Din Apple recomend this anyway but I
  9. have had it cause problems on other machines

  12. Adult channel now works in secure mode decoders.

  14. DS9™ is the normal version and DS9™xx is a version that hogs all the
  15. machines time, it is much harder to get running ie you might have to
  16. change channel a few times at first to get it running but once its
  17. running its fairly bullet proof ie you should be able to set the VCR
  18. and not worry about it.

  20.  I have run it on the LC630 and used the Apple Video Player to monitor
  21. it and it now runs while being watched, however this is not that easy
  22. to achieve:- you have to start DS9™xx change to a videocrypt channel
  23. and start the Apple Video Player with the remote control if it wont
  24. start try changing from 1 videocrypt channel to another and then try
  25. to start the "AVP".

  27.   Unfortunately with DS9™xx you will have to press Command Option Escape
  28. to terminate it.

  31. it has been tested on a Powerbook 540c, a SE30, a LC630 and a 6100/60,
  32. and I'm told it works well on a powerbook 145 with all these machines
  33. most of the inits needed to be turned off with system 7.5 you can
  34. option click on the menu bar clock to disable it as can cause problems.

  36. There is a primative parental control function to start it
  37. Press the Authorise button this will scramble the current Channel
  38. Unfortunately this will scramble all of the MultiChannel Package if one
  39. of these is chosen as they have the same ID.

  41. Known Bugs:-
  42. When there is a checksum error it will display the wrong channel
  43. "Sky Movies" this is because Sky are sending a bad packet or Control
  44. Packet at the moment.
